A survivor for eleven day power outage during an ice storm This generator helped survive eleven days without electricity after an ice storm. It was able to run a fan for my gas furnace, a refrigerator, and two freezers along with a tv and a few lights. When I added a coffee maker (energy hog) it would trigger the circuit breaker. I was also able to run a half horsepower water pump, but had to shut off most other devices. It ran all eleven days using half the gasoline of larger 6000 watt generators. The low oil shut off worked and forced me to check my oil and add some. The generator would start on the first or second pull and ran great. I may buy another one and use one for my water pump and the other for the rest of the house after I put in a transfer switch.

Customer service was stellar! Our generator arrived quickly and on time — thanks as always Amazon! We quickly got it set up and had it running for about an hour and then put a load on it to test it. With no issues, we shut it off and put back in the shed. The next day, we fired it up again and was using it to power some tools, when the generator sounded like it was sucking too much air into the intake. We shut it off and it began leaking fuel from the filter. Unfortunately the entire filter assembly had cracked. So we called the manufacturer and despite the issue with the filter, worked with one of the best customer service reps I’ve ever spoke to. Mike was so great, shipping out a new fuel filter assembly and checking up with us to make sure we were good to go. Big thanks Mike, the generator’s running great and we’ve had no other issues.
