The Oral-B PRO 5000 Smart series rechargeable electric toothbrush with Bluetooth is the world’s first of its kind with Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth communication allows the brush to connect with your smartphone to give you real-time feedback on your brushing habits.

The Floss Action brush head gives you a floss-like clean for healthier gums vs. a regular manual brush (it does not replace flossing). The pressure sensor lights up if you brush too hard to prevent harmful over-brushing and there are 5 modes and a timer to help you brush for a dentist recommended 2 minutes.

Best of all it’s brought to you by Oral-B – the #1 brand used by dentists worldwide.

Product Features

  • Bluetooth communication between brush and smartphone provides real-time feedback on brushing habits, helping you achieve amazing results
  • Floss Action round brush head with micropulse bristles for a superior and interdental clean vs a regular manual toothbrush.
  • 3D cleaning action oscillates, rotates, and pulsates to break up plaque and remove more plaque along the gumline than a regular manual toothbrush
  • Pressure sensor lights up on brush and smartphone if you brush too hard
  • 5 modes: Daily Clean, Gum Care, Sensitive, Whitening, and Deep Clean

Good toothbrush… not sure the bluetooth connectivity is necessary This toothbrush replaced an Oral B Triumph electric toothbrush that was several years old and starting to show a lot of wear. I needed a new toothbrush anyway and the bluetooth feature intrigued me. After having used it for a few days I will say that I’m very happy with the toothbrush itself. The brush head I was using was only 4 or 6 weeks old, so I just put my existing brush head on the new toothbrush and I was quite surprised that my teeth felt noticeably cleaner than when I brushed with my old triumph brush, even though I was using the exact same brush head. The triumph was in the same price range as this brush, so I really wasn’t expecting any difference in brushing performance. This brush is also noticeably lighter than my old triumph.I’m not sure how helpful the bluetooth feature really is, though. It’s really a bit of a pain to remember to bring my phone to the bathroom, unlock the phone, start the app, then start brushing every time. While you’re brushing…

If Pavlov were a toothbrush… This is my very first electric toothbrush. Like any electric toothbrush virgin, I bled the first time (gross I know – but that was kind of funny). I kept thinking that it isn’t my first time brushing! But this is more powerful than a $1 brush so, my gums have had to get used to it. This pain is part of the payment for those who belong to the exclusive $100 toothbrush club.As an added perk, if you start getting lolled into a morning stupor while brushing your teeth and spend too much time in one area, the brush wakes you up with bursts of slowing vibrating pulses and a gentle yellowish light to let you know to move on. And if you are not gentle enough with the placement of the brush, it will glow red and slow down the pulsations. The toothbrush trains you, like Pavlov trained his dog. Sort of.I like that you can switch brush heads to share with others, that it came with a charger and a case. Note about the charger: if your bathroom is like mine…
